1. Connect the positive and negative power supply wire of reverse camera with the positive and negative leads of Backup Light (Reverse Light).
When the backup light turns on, the reverse camera turns on as well.
NOTE: DO NOT connect the power supply wire of reverse camera with Brake Light or Tail Light.
2. Connect the reverse camera video cable with the Reverse camera / Back camera RCA video input cable from radio harness.
NOTE: DO NOT connect the reverse camera video cable with Video-in RCA input cable from radio.
3. Connect the Reverse ( Back ) Camera Detecting lead ( Blue color or Orange/White color in different model ) from radio harness with the positive terminal of Backup Light.
When the radio detects the backup light is on by voltage, the radio switches into reverse camera input mode automatically.
Some of the reverse cameras' video cable attached ( Refer to under picture ) with a trigger wire to extend the Reverse camera detecting lead to the positive terminal of backup light.
If there is not a trigger wire from the video cable, you need to have a extension wire to connect the Reverse Camera Detecting lead and positive terminal of Backup Light.
NOTE: This wire connection is the most important step for the installation.
If the radio can not switch into reverse camera input mode automatically when the backup light is on, please check the barge between the detecting lead and trigger wire or the problem that the trigger wire broken in some parts.
Special Case
In some car models, the positive of backup light is constant power. There is a switch that controls the backup light by controlling the negative pole on or off.
In this case, if we simply connect the Reverse Detecting lead with positive wire of backup light, the stereo would be in Reverse mode all the time.
To solve this problem, we need a relay and have the connection by under diagram
